Benefit Hoola Bronzer, £23.50 | BootsDebenhams

Benefit Hoola Bronzer is a big favourite amongst beauty bloggers and it recently got an award for ‘Highly Recommended’ on the 2012 Debenhams Beauty Club Awards. I took the advantage of the 10% off Debenhams is offering on all Beauty Awards winners and got this bronzer to see if it really was worth the hype.

It’s a boxed powder bronzer and it comes with a little brush which I find really useful to draw exactly where I want the bronzer to go. Then I use a fluffy brush to blend it all together. I truly and honestly cannot fault this bronzer! The pigmentation is great and I love the finish it leaves on my skin. I have olive skin and this bronzer really suits my skin tone. I’d love to hear how people with fairer skin tones get on with this bronzer! :)

Benefit Hoola Bronzer is available now from Boots and Debenhams, priced at £23.50. Debenhams is currently offering 10% on all winners and highly recommended products of the Beauty Club Awards until 13 May 2012, which includes Benefit Hoola Bronzer.

Au revoir!

I have light skin (nc30) and I love this bronzer! looks great on you too! love the fact that its completely matte, i have a hatred for shimmer bronzers! lol x

That’s amazing! Can’t believe it looks good on lighter and darkers skin tones. Normally bronzers suit either one or the other. And I agree about the lack of shimmer. So good! :) xx

I love Hoola and have been using it for a few years! My skin is only slightly tanned so more on the fairer side so using just a little bit is plenty. The best thing is it lasts for ages! It looks lovely on you too.

That’s good to know, Trish! It looks like it works well on light and medium skin tones. I can’t believe I waited this long to get this :) xx

I have this as part of a mini blush palette benefit released over Christmas, I like to use it very lightly for contouring as although it looks pale it’s extremely pigmented and sometimes looks a little too dark on my pale skin. It’s a brilliant product none the less and I’m happy to have a mini version! I love benefit blushes, if only they were a little cheaper x

Did you get this from a store or did you pick it up online? There’s a really obvious grammatical error on the box and I just wondered if you knew for sure its not a fake. xx

Sorry, what’s the grammatical error you’re reffering to? xx

  10. 2 May 2012 / 7:47 am

Yes, it is indeed extremely pigmented! Make your mini version last :) xx

On the back of the Hoola box, in the product description. It says “or anywhere you’d love to look tan” when the word should be “tanned”. I didn’t mean to offend you or anything, I was just surprised that Benefit let that slip through their net xx

Thanks for pointing that out. I think both “tan” and “tanned” are correct. If I remember correctly, “Tan” as a noun is referring to the colour tan (yellowish brown). This form of “tan” doesn’t tense. “Tan” as a verb is referring to the action of getting a tan. This form tenses.

I think when Benefit says “anywhere you’d love to look tan” they meant “to look the colour tan (yellowish brown)”.

I wasn’t offended, I just didn’t see it as mistake. But I could be wrong! :)

I got mine from Debenhams, so I think the chances of it being fake are slim. But I’ll look into it!

Thanks again for bringing it to my attention :)

    Ah right, fair enough then.
From Debenhams I’d say that it will definitely be real :)
It looks lovely on you by the way xx
