It’s been a while since my last tutorial, so today I’m sharing how I achieve a quick & easy Fresh Face makeup look. As much as I love my smokey eye looks and a good contour & highlight, I’ve been practising more natural makeup looks that I can do in 5 minutes, as I know my ‘me time’ will be rather reduced as soon as the baby is born. This makeup is perfect for new mums who don’t have much time to do their makeup everyday, but want to look and feel human enough to get through the day. So, without further ado, let’s get to the photo-tutorial!
The aim here was to avoid anything too tacky, creamy or prone to smudging, so your face looks lovely and fresh, and if you have a little baby constantly grabbing your face, you won’t be worried about your makeup going everywhere. You don’t have to use the same products I used – just use whatever you have at home already.
I’ve been loving this The Body Shop Vitamin E Eyes Cube to keep the dry areas of my face hydrated before makeup; it has a lovely cooling effect and it doesn’t leave a sticky residue. My skin has been quite good recently, so I skipped foundation and opted for concealing just the areas where I felt I needed a bit of coverage. I think this look will not only suit the busy lives of new mums, but anyone who doesn’t like to spend too much time doing their makeup; I can even see this as a super quick daytime makeup look for work or school!
