"No Makeup" Makeup: My Interpretation

Hi dolls!

Today I’m here to show you my interpretation of the “No Makeup” makeup look inspired by recent videos from the Pixiwoo girls and Lisa Eldridge. This is a great look for a day at the beach, visiting your best friend, going grocery shopping or any other occasions where you just need to look a little bit more alive and healthy, rather than transform yourself into a diva!

As you will see, this makeup is supposed to make you look as if you have no makeup on, therefore, shimmer, bright colours and strong eyeliner are a no-no! This makeup look will enhance your natural beauty at the same time as brightening up your face in a way that is completely natural, so keep the colour of your cheeks and lips equal or similar and go for low coverage concealers and tinted moisturiser or face primer instead of foundation. I also recommend choosing a clear lip gloss if you have naturally rosy or pink lips.

If you’re looking at the photo and thinking, “She has no makeup on!”, then I’ve achieved my goal!

What I used

On my skin I only used a primer to give it some moisture because I have very dry skin. Then I applied a low coverage and illuminating concealer under my eyes and on a few blemishes, and set everything off with a pressed powder.

I went for a pink-champagne eyeshadow on the lids and on the brow bones, and a light brown eyeshadow to blend the edges. I used a tiny bit of bronzer on the hollows of my cheeks, rose-tinted cheek stain and a peachy blush on the apples of my cheeks and a clear lip gloss on my lips. On my eyelashes I went for a dark brown mascara.

I won’t do a tutorial on this look because the products will be different for everyone depending on your skin tone and combination, but if you want to recreate something similar, try to find products that are a close match to the ones described above.
