Write this name down, girls: INNOVA.
This is INDOLA’s new hair range created by bloggers all over the world, and to celebrate their launch, in partnership with Immediate PR, they’ve decided to run a competition to see who can best replicate one of the hair styles from their Smart Street Style Collection Look Book.
As expected, I jumped to the chance of participating in this challenge, but choosing one of the amazing looks wasn’t an easy task. So after much deliberation, I chose the City Cameo look.
This look was created by the Oslo based photographer, Eirik Slynstad, and the following description was my inspiration to replicate this look:
“Hair is as versatile as the wardrobe – short, sassy and soft, with a sweeping fringe that works styled over one eye, smoothed to the brow, or blown off the face in a riot of waves”.
I used one pump of INDOLA Smooth Serum Finish to keep my hair ultra sleek, glossy and to tackle any frizzy bits, on towel dried hair and after blow drying it.
I styled the side-swept fringe over one eye giving this look a sexy vibe, and I chose I bright pink lip colour to contrast with the clean and neutral makeup.
The second part of the look is in the ‘Mix It Up’ section of the look book, and it gives you alternative ways in which you could style your City Cameo look. Slightly edgier than the first part, INDOLA describes this as:
“Hair is a riot of waves, teased up into carefree height, while make-up goes naturally moody with low key smoky eyes and soft lips”.
I curled my hair with a curling iron, keeping the curls as tight as possible. After I did the whole hair, I ran my fingers through the curls and they turned into these lovely messy waves. The key product for this look was the INDOLA Shine Spray Finish, which turned my dull waves into this healthy, soft, stylish and shiny-looking hair style that I’m absolutely in love with!
The makeup for this alternative look gets smokier, but the lips get more natural to contrast with the voluminous hair.
I had so much fun preparing for this challenge and I hope you guys like my interpretation of the City Cameo look :)
