Boots & Tesco Haul: John Frieda, Rimmel, Bourjois and more!

Go on, give me a smack, I deserve it! I went shopping last week and got a few bits and pieces from the good old Boots and funnily enough, from Tesco. Enough talking, let’s reveal the goodies!

1. Bourjois Smile Enhancing Gloss, shades Rose Bright (#03) and Beige Tapis Rouge (#07)

I blogged about this lipgloss before its launch and I was really excited to get my hands on some of them. If you want to read more about them, click here to read my previous blog post, but I’ll be popping a full review very soon. The shades I chose are very wearable for everyday use and I think the pink one will look great over the top of a matte pink lipstick to give it a boost!

2. Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Foundation, shade Golden #6

Considering that my all time favourite concealer is the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer, I thought it was only logical to give this foundation a try. I chose 2 shades darker than my concealer, and it looked quite nice and thick from the swatch, but unfortunately it has slightly pink undertones, which is not ideal for me, since I have yellow undertones on my skin. We’ll see how I get on with it! :)

3. John Frieda Frizz Ease Creme Serum Night

I’ve heard about this product before, but had never seen it in my local drugstores or supermarkets, so this time I grabbed it as fast as I could. I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s a repair serum that you apply onto dry hair and leave it overnight to help repair breakage and split ends whilst you sleep. It sounds amazingly effortless, doesn’t it? I’m excited to try this!

4. Maybelline The Colossal Volum Express Cat Eyes Mascara

This is another leap of faith I took. My all time favourite mascara is the Maybelline The Falsies, so when I saw the new Cat Eyes Mascara I thought it was worth a try. Who knows, I might have found another gem in the Maybelline collection! :)

5. 17 Wild Metallics Eyes, shades Wild Bronze and Wild Nude

These eyeshadows have been popping up in most beauty blogs recently and I wanted in on all the fuss, obviously. I got the two most wearable from the collection, and as you can see, I’ve already used both of them. Look out for FOTDs and reviews of these babies, but for now I’ll just say, they are a-m-a-z-i-n-g!

6. Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick, shade Nude Pink (#206)

My love for Rimmel’s lipsticks is not a secret; I have a handful of them already, and now I’ve got another one. This is a gorgeous and wearable pink shade that reminds me of MAC Plink! (dupe, maybe?). So keep your eyes out for a review/comparison coming up soon!

7. Collection 2000 Big Fake False Lash Effect Mascara, shade Ultra Black (#17)

This was my “in the dark” purchase of the day, which means I didn’t know anything about this mascara before I bought it, and just picked up because I liked the looks of it. Hopefully I’ll like it, and I have a really good feeling about it, but you’ll be the first to know if it all goes pear-shaped!

8. John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Moisturising Conditioner

I’ve recently ran out of my Schwarzkopf shampoo and conditioner and have been secretly ‘stealing’ my boyfriend’s Aussie shampoo. But he doesn’t buy conditioner, so I bought this John Frieda conditioner to try. I was going to buy the shampoo as well, but for the moment I’m really enjoying how amazing my hair smells with the Aussie shampoo!

9. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Gel Foundation, shade Light Beige (#53)

This is the newest addition to Bourjois’ foundation collection, and after the amazing results I had with the Healthy Mix foundation I decided to try this one. Unfortunately, my local Boots only stores up to shade 53, which is far too light for me (I’m a shade 55/56), but I’m hoping I can darken it with a bit of bronzer.

That is it, guys. Quite a lot, I know (shame on me), but the good thing is I have lots to talk about this coming week! :)
