I can’t believe this is the last Glossybox of the year! This month, Glossybox dressed up for Christmas with very festive looks and contents. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the December Glossybox (which took ages due to Royal Mail being overloaded with Christmas parcels), and to share with you guys!
I quite like the glossy red cardboard box, but I think I prefer the pink one! The box was beautifully packaged to the last detail, as always. I’m definitely keeping this one for storing my ever growing nail varnish collection.
The first pleasant surprise when I opened the box was to not see a perfume sample. Thank God they spared me the disappointment! I’m very particular with fragrances, and frankly, perfume samples are so easily acquired, that I can’t see it justifying me paying £10 to get them in my Glossybox. The second surprise was the size of the products; even the ones that weren’t full size, were quite a decent sample size. Now onto the contents!
Deborah Lippmann Razzle Dazzle Mini Nail Varnish
Full size £16
This is by far the most exciting product of the box for me. I’ve been dying to get my hands on some Deborah Lippmann nail varnishes, but just couldn’t pluck up the courage to part with over £15 for 1 nail varnish. The quality of this nail varnish is surreal; All you need 2 coats of this baby and you’re done! The colour is a purple/fuchsia which reminds me of Revlon’s Facets of Fuchsia (review here), but with smaller glitter. I think I might wear this on New Year’s Eve!
As a little bonus, Glossybox included a Deborah Lippmann sachet containing 1 nail polish remover finger mitt. Supposedly, one mitt will clean all 10 nails! Looks impressive :)
Cargo Cosmetics Classic Lip Gloss
Full size £10
This was such a good surprise. I always like it when Beauty Boxes include unknown brands. I liked the non-sticky formulation of this lipgloss, and the pretty pink shade I got couldn’t be anymore suited to my taste. This is definitely going to inhabit in my handbag from now on! :)
Blink + Go Hi-Definition Mascara
Full size £14.99
I haven’t yet tried this one, but it looks good. The tube is quite tall and thick, in comparison to the average mascara tube, and the brush is rather small. I can see myself using this mascara for my bottom lashes, but I’ll report back when I have more to say about it!
Rituals Foaming Shower Gel
Full size £6.50
This shower gel has a yummy citrus-y smell! The liquid foams up pretty instantly, and the foam is so thick and creamy; I’ve never tried anything like it. I’m quite pleased to have found this, and it’s a full size bottle as well. Big thumbs up!
MeMeMe Seventh Heaven
Full size £15
This is a face moisturiser/primer which contains shea butter, vitamin A and beta-carotene. All this means that it will rejuvenate, nourish and hydrate the skin in one step. I haven’t had a chance to try this yet, but it looks quite promising. It smells absolutely delish – again, very citrus-y and I can’t wait to give it a go!
And that is the end of the December Glossybox: Christmas edition! I’m really really pleased with this month’s box and I’ll definitely use everything I got in my box. I would recommend buying this as a Christmas present for someone who is into beauty and the likes. It has a good mix of everything and it would definitely convince me to subscribe to Glossybox, if I hadn’t already done so.
