New Haircare Routine: Clynol Wonder 10 & Clynol Glow

9 January 2013

New Haircare Routine: Clynol Wonder 10 & Clynol Glow

Clynol Wonder 10*, £9.95 & Clynol Glow*, £17.95 – cheapsmells.com

Meet the miracle workers; that’s a bit dramatic, I know, but that’s exactly how I feel about these two products. My hair is probably the most time consuming and hard-work part of me. I get loads of compliments on my hair (I’m not trying to brag!) from people I meet and from you guys, which really means a lot to me, trust me, the amount of time and money I’ve spent on my hair throughout the years… it really does make me smile when I get complimented on my hair!

New Haircare Routine: Clynol Wonder 10 & Clynol Glow

My hair freshly washed & dried after using Clynol Wonder 10 and Clynol Glow

Just to give you a bit of background info on my hair, its natural texture is what I call cur-vy, not wavy, but not quite curly; I’ve never liked the way it looks naturally, so for about 10 years I’ve been a slave of the Brazilian Blowdry professional treatment and hair straighteners. That means that I have to spend a lot of time and effort looking after my hair because of the damage that the chemicals and heat styling tools can cause to the hair.

Clynol Wonder 10

I’ve recently discovered the Clynol Wonder 10 and Clynol Glow, which have completely changed my haircare routine for the better. Previously, this was my haircare routine: 1. Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo & Conditioner; 2. John Frieda Straight Fixation Smoothing Creme; 3. John Frieda 3-Day Straight Styling Spray; 4. VO5 Miracle Concentrate Elixir with Argan Oil; 5. Tresemmé Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Shine Spray; 6. Dry & Style with hair dryer and hair straighteners; 7. VO5 Miracle Concentrate Elixir with Argan Oil. Even though that ridiculous amount of products worked and made my hair look really shine, smooth and soft, it also weighed down my hair a lot, and after a couple of days my hair looked super greasy.

Clynol Wonder 10

The Clynol Wonder 10 is a leave-in treatment that acts as a 10 in 1; its super lightweight formula repairs, nourishes, detangles, provides shine, protects from UV rays, helps reduce frizz, reduces split ends, just to name a few of the benefits that this baby brings to the hair. I’m very sceptical about products that promise a lot, especially when it comes to haircare, but it was really love at first try!

Clynol Wonder 10

I’ve now given some time off to all of my haircare products (apart from shampoo, conditioner and heat protectant), and only use the Clynol Wonder 10 for all my haircare needs before styling my hair. My hair has never felt so smooth, nourished and manageable; because the formula is so lightweight, it doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it look oily or greasy. I spray it all over my hair, very generously and comb through to spread the product all over; I’m nearly halfway through a 100ml bottle, and I’ve only had it for a few weeks – oh dear! I couldn’t be happier with this product and I would recommend it everyone; oh and it smells really good as well!

Clynol Glow

After drying and styling my hair, I use the Clynol Glow, a weightless Marula oil that targets damaged hair to soften, add shine and reduce split ends. It can be used before or after styling, but I prefer to use it after I’ve styled my hair, just to add a new layer of shine to my hair. I warm two pumps in the palms of my hands and then run my fingers through my hair to spread the product around, concentrating it mostly on the bottom half of my hair.

Clynol Glow

So here’s my current haircare routine: 1. Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo & Conditioner; 2. Clynol Wonder 10; 3. Tresemmé Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Shine Spray; 4. Dry & Style with hair dryer and hair straighteners; 5. Clynol Glow. I feel that putting less products, but more effective ones, is the way to go with my hair and I’m really happy with my current routine. Do I wish I didn’t have to blow dry it and style it every time I washed my hair? Oh yes… one day, maybe! :)

What do you think of the Clynol Wonder 10 & the Clynol Glow? Have you tried any of them or anything similar? How do you look after your hair?

Wow, they sound great! I’d like to try them out, especially because my hair is so thick and curly, and therefore tends to look like hay if I don’t treat it right :c

Not the pregnancy announcement I had in mind, but… we’re expecting baby number 3! ❤️🙏🏻 I’m 11 weeks pregnant today and this is probably the most fitting photo to describe my first trimester so far: hyperemesis gravidarum.

I was going to wait until I was feeling better, until I had a bump to show, until I could put some makeup on… but who knows when that will be? I’ve lost over 15lbs, been admitted to hospital twice on IV fluids for dehydration, spent my birthday (and weeks on end!) in bed and have been put on so many meds I’ve lost count.

Today, as I was leaving the hospital on new meds and after a bag of fluids - feeling like a human being for the first time in over a month - I decided that writing this post, although cathartic for me, may be just what another HG sufferer needs to read to make them feel a little bit less alone.

This is not the beautiful “surprise” pregnancy announcement we’re used to seeing, but for the 1-3% of women who suffer with HG, it may be the only one you can manage.

So, this is where I’ve been hiding. Baby is doing well, mama not so well. But I’m hanging in there and taking one day at a time!

Baby is due September 2021! ❤️

Snow day!! ☃️ We have two very excited childre Snow day!! ☃️ We have two very excited children and a puppy, ready some snow fun today! Might as well make the most of it, because this is probably all we’re going to get. Oh I do love snow! 😍❄️
“Anxiety is also feeling like you have no contro “Anxiety is also feeling like you have no control over your life and there’s a knot if your stomach. You feel like your world is crashing down around you and you’re expected to sit there and act like you’re fine.”

Yesterday was a right old day - I wasn’t myself. I needed silence to reset... but didn’t get it. So I carried on not sounding like myself, being curt, snappy, sometimes a bit hurtful.

Do you know when you just can’t snap out of it? You take a deep breath and promise you will react differently to a stressful situation, but a minute later you catch yourself spilling over before you even realise the pan was boiling.

I took some time to reflect in the evening and exposed everything that was causing me frustration, stress, anxiety and worry. Guess what the common denominator was?

A feeling of not being in control.

I’ve always needed some sort of order and control to feel like myself and right now we’re positivity not in control of anything really, are we?

I’m glad I can recognise the triggers for my anxiety and today I made sure I established some form of control first thing in the morning to give my day the best chance to be a good one.

So I cleaned the house, I made sure the puppy had plenty of naps, I scheduled 1-2-1 time with both kids and that made me feel so much better.

I know I only tackled the consequences, not the causes of my anxiety and my need to feel in control, but that was enough for me today.

There’s - always - more work to be done, but accepting the small wins is part of it.

How are you all feeling? Really, how’s your mind How are you all feeling? Really, how’s your mind right now? It’s so important to check in with ourselves instead of ignoring how we feel and burying our heads in housework, jobs, kids and life admin.

💫 What do I need?

That’s a good way to start. I’ll list a few things I need right now. They don’t all have to be grand things, sometimes I only need the smallest things.

1. I need to wash my hair.
2. I need silence.
3. I need to rearrange some rooms in the house (don’t know why I need this, but I really do).
4. I need to zero my inbox.
5. I need uninterrupted sleep.
6. I need a good hearty meal.
7. I need to exercise.
8. I need to smile.
9. I need to see my mum.
10. I need to put my needs first.

If I were to pick just one need right this second, I’d say number 2. I’m normally really sensitive to loud noises, but today... dear me! Even a slightly louder whisper was annoying me! 🙈
I mean... I can barely see him but I’m well jeal I mean... I can barely see him but I’m well jealous of this cosy situation! 😍 Oh Benji boy, you’re bringing us so much joy already! 🐶🤎
