Sleek Blush in Flamingo, £4.49
Strangely enough this is only my second Sleek brush; I included ‘Rose Gold‘ in my Drugstore Starter Kit, and I realised I needed some more shades of this super affordable and great quality High Street blush. Not that I needed anymore blushes, but I did find a bit of a gap in my makeup collection in the bright pink blush department (we’re really getting into the subdivisions here!), and I couldn’t let that happen, could I? And that’s the story of how ‘Flamingo’ ended up in my shopping basket :)
The Sleek Blush in Flamingo is a matte bright pink colour with warm undertones; it’s highly pigmented, so be extremely light handed with it to avoid looking like a clown (unless that’s the look you’re going for…); you only need to tap your brush on the pan once, and that’s enough for one cheek. It’s a beautiful colour, it blends really well and it definitely adds some life back into my cheeks. When applied, the finish looks a bit more satin than matte, which I quite like, and it lasts pretty well throughout the day. The texture is super soft and fine and not chalky at all; it’s definitely one of best High Street blushes I’ve ever tried.
The packaging is the same as all Sleek blushes, and you get 8g of product for your money and a nice big mirror; the only quibble I have is how difficult it is to open this flippin’ blush! It’s almost impossible not to chip my fully dry nails when I open it, so do not, under any circumstances, try to open it with freshly painted nails! Seriously, why make it so hard to open?!
This is definitely worth the money and I think it’s flattering on most skin tones. I can’t think of any dupes for this blush, so if you know of any, leave them on the comments below, please! :)
