Mulberry Bayswater Bag in Oak Natural Leather
A few days ago my darling husband surprised me with a Mulberry handbag for my birthday – seriously, how lucky am I?! I’ve wanted one for years, and I even got a Mulberry Alexa dupe from Ebay a while ago. Now I have the real deal – the iconic Mulberry Bayswater Bag.

The video above is a ‘What’s In My Bag’ featuring my Mulberry Bayswater, where I show you everything I carry inside my bag and give you a little overview of the bag. So click the play button to watch it and when you’re done, come back to read the rest of the review :) There’s a list of everything I mentioned on the video at the bottom of this blog post.
The Mulberry Bayswater is mostly known as ‘The Mulberry Bag’; it’s Mulberry’s most classic handbag and recognisable wherever you go. It’s a timeless handbag which will probably never go out of fashion, so your investment piece will definitely stand the test of time. But not only is the Bayswater absolutely gorgeous, it’s also very spacious, and appropriate for both day and night.
The Bayswater features Mulberry’s signature postman’s lock closure, interior belted sides which can be adjusted to make the bag wider, large enough handles to wear it on the crook of your arm or on your shoulder, metal feet on the base and a hidden padlock with engraved Mulberry details. It measures 26.5cm height, 36cm width, 16.5cm depth and the handle drop is 15.5cm.
Oak Natural Leather
It’s part of Mulberry’s permanent collection, and it’s available lots of in different colours and textures; mine is the Mulberry Bayswater in Oak Natural Leather With Brass. Natural Leather is a Mulberry favourite, and it’s a tanned warm brown colour. I love that it goes well with every outfit and it’s definitely a standout piece on its own. I also got the Waterstop Spray, which is recommended to any of the lighter coloured leather bags to prevent those water marks caused by the rain.
On the inside, it has one zip pocket, which is detached at the bottom, and two slip pockets, which are big enough to fit an iPhone 5 and a couple of lipsticks. The main area of the bag has no compartments, so be careful when throwing things like keys in your bag as it might scratch the leather or even your phone. I’m very impressed with the build quality of the Mulberry Bayswater! It feels very sturdy and fit to last for a lifetime.
I highly recommend the Mulberry Bayswater; it is definitely the perfect handbag for a Mulberry newbie like me as it’s a classic, timeless and extremely versatile piece. I got mine from Bicester Village Outlet in Oxfordshire and if you’re thinking of getting one, do pay a visit to the Mulberry shop in Bicester Village; the discounts are great and you can end up saving more than 50% off the bag!
Where To Buy
The Mulberry Bayswater Bag in Oak Natural Leather is easily stocked in most stores because it’s one of Mulberry’s most famous bags, and due to that same reason it also sells out pretty quickly. I’ve listed below where I found it online, so if you see the one you want, grab it! If not, it’s worth paying a visit in-store to see if they’re in stock.
