Fancy a quick and easy makeup look? Here’s a matte makeup tutorial look using the Smashbox Full Exposure Palette, paired with a nude lipstick or a bright red lip alternative. Daytime and evening appropriate, sophisticated and not too hard at all! I only used the first four eyeshadows from the matte row of the Smashbox palette, and although there was a lot of going back and forth to intensify the colour, I was quite happy with the finished result. As you can tell from the close-ups around my nose, the concealer I used didn’t look too great on my dry patches and the foundation was a bit too heavy and full coverage for me, but oh well – if I didn’t try them I wouldn’t have known how they looked on me! I love how this matte makeup looks with both the nude and red lipsticks – both have their time and place, it’s just a matter of finding the perfect shade of nude and red to suit your own skin tone and undertone.
