Soap and Glory Archery Brow Putty Review (Before and After)

2 February 2016

Soap and Glory Archery Brow Putty Dip Pot & Brush Review, Before and After, Swatch - www.ysislorenna.com

Soap and Glory Archery Brow Putty Dip Pot & Brush, £10 | Boots

The Soap and Glory Archery Brow Putty is an exciting new addition to Soap and Glory’s makeup range. A couple of years ago, the original Soap and Glory Archery, took the makeup community by storm with how easy it was to fill in your eyebrows (read my review here). Now, the Archery family welcomes the Brow Putty, and I’m sure this will cause as much buzz as its older sibling did.

The Soap and Glory Archery Brow Putty Dip Pot and Brush is a dual-ended stick with an angled brush on one end and a dipping pot of tinted putty on the other end. There are three shades in the range – Love is Blonde, Brownie Points and Dark Chocolate – and although I have the shade Brownie Points, I think Dark Chocolate would have been a better match for my eyebrows.

Much like the coveted Anastasia Dip Brow Pomade, the putty fills and tame your brows, however the S&G version has the added bonus of a convenient built-in brush. If you’re looking for something which will fill your brows in naturally, making them look soft, subtle and almost diffused, I think the Soap and Glory Archery Brow Putty is worth checking.

I will confess to using and abusing of my favourite method for perfectly filling in my eyebrows, but when I am wearing very little makeup, I feel like I need to tone down my eyebrows. They are naturally dark, but I have gaps which need a quick touch up, and the Soap and Glory Brow Putty is perfect for that!

The putty itself is not at all creamy; I found it quite hard to get enough product on my brush, so I had to keep dipping the brush back in after a couple of swipes to get more product. I don’t think I would choose this if I were going for a perfectly polished eyebrow look, but for everyday it’s quick, it’s easy, it’s convenient and it’s affordable. Maybe the shade Dark Chocolate would have given me more intensity.

The brush is pretty good. I didn’t even feel tempted to reach for my Japonesque Angled Brow Brush as I felt the S&G brush did an amazing job!

Now onto my favourite thing about the Soap and Glory Archery Brow Putty: it is extremely long-lasting! My eyebrows resisted an entire day with my 9-month-old son, who’s obsessed with touching my face; I even bathed him and got water splashed all over my face, but my brows didn’t budge. I had a little swatch on my hand, and despite much scrubbing, it stayed there until I removed it with a makeup wipe.

Overall, I liked the Soap and Glory Archery Brow Putty for its convenient, easy and subtle way of filling in my eyebrows. If you’re looking for a long-lasting, smudge-proof and water-proof affordable brow product, this will definitely sort you out.

Did you guess it right? I got it totally wrong, again! 😆 We couldn’t be happier and it’s exactly what both James and Bella wanted. Our little tie-breaker! 🥰 #16weekspregnant #babynumber3 #genderreveal

It’s been a little while since my last update. Last week was tough, but this week I’ve started to see the light at the end of the Hyperemesis tunnel.

I’ve been able to keep most of my food down and I can now drink sips of water. Honestly that is such an amazing feeling!

I’m still being sick and still limited on what I can eat, but everyday I tolerate a few more smells and food.

My cravings are so weird! Full of things I’ve never bothered with before - Brazilian hot dogs, McDonalds Fillet O’ Fish, tinned peaches, tuna mayo jacket potato.

I’m still very weak and out of breath if I walk around - my body is playing catch up with the last 2/3 months of living on barely nothing.

I’m into my 14th week and I honestly feel so hopeful right now. ❤️

Ad: Today is International Women’s Day and this Ad: Today is International Women’s Day and this year #LEGO are celebrating the women of the future; our imaginative, creative, inspirational little girls!

We were asked to take part in the campaign, replicating a classic LEGO ad from 1981, which shows a little girl proudly holding up her LEGO creation.

So when I asked Bella what she wanted to make, no surprises there, she chose a princess castle!

I feel like this reflects her personality so much; she’s sweet and kind, but also really knows her mind and is super determined to do what she wants, how she wants it! 💗 Didn’t she do well?!

If you want to take part and recreate the ad with your amazing daughters, you can submit a photo at LEGO.com/FutureBuilders.

I’ve stopped losing weight! 🙏🏻 It feels so I’ve stopped losing weight! 🙏🏻 It feels so good to step on the scales and not see those numbers going down anymore! I worried every single day for weeks, especially when my weight loss was so quick. So today, I put shorts on for the first time in a month (took it off right after the photo, as I feel so uncomfortable with anything around my hips or waist), pushed my belly out and registered that milestone. Hyperemesis is not in my past yet, but my new meds are at least helping me keep some food down. That’s a lot of progress from a week ago! ❤️

Not the pregnancy announcement I had in mind, but… we’re expecting baby number 3! ❤️🙏🏻 I’m 11 weeks pregnant today and this is probably the most fitting photo to describe my first trimester so far: hyperemesis gravidarum.

I was going to wait until I was feeling better, until I had a bump to show, until I could put some makeup on… but who knows when that will be? I’ve lost over 15lbs, been admitted to hospital twice on IV fluids for dehydration, spent my birthday (and weeks on end!) in bed and have been put on so many meds I’ve lost count.

Today, as I was leaving the hospital on new meds and after a bag of fluids - feeling like a human being for the first time in over a month - I decided that writing this post, although cathartic for me, may be just what another HG sufferer needs to read to make them feel a little bit less alone.

This is not the beautiful “surprise” pregnancy announcement we’re used to seeing, but for the 1-3% of women who suffer with HG, it may be the only one you can manage.

So, this is where I’ve been hiding. Baby is doing well, mama not so well. But I’m hanging in there and taking one day at a time!

Baby is due September 2021! ❤️
