Taking a leaf out of @zoesugg’s book and “coming back” without a “sorry I haven’t posted in a while”.

Taking social media breaks is healthy and normal, even when it’s your job (perhaps more so because of that).

So here’s a snapshot of the last month or so! Big changes with me going back to work and Liv starting nursery. Follow along on Stories for more frequent updates! 🤗
You blink and they grow. By saying this, I have n You blink and they grow.

By saying this, I have no intention of erasing those feelings of desperation when it feels like the tough times will never end.

✨ I say this with the big picture in mind.

Sometimes it’s helpful to look at point A and point B without overanalysing the messy, stressful, loud, frustrating and blurry bit in between.

It can bring some perspective or just help flick that switch to a more positive mindset when you’re feeling stuck in the “why is everything so hard right now” moments.

I looked at all three of them today, really LOOKED, not just a glance or a quick scan for toothpaste stains, mud patches or pen marks.

I realised it had been a while since I’d noticed their now taller necks, sharper jawlines, longer legs.

If I close my eyes, I can see still see quite clearly all three of them as newborn babies; truth be told, I think us parents will always be able to do that.

But when I open my eyes, staring back at me is a caring, wonderful young man; a determined, amazing little lady; a joyful, extraordinary baby girl.

They are unraveling before my very eyes and I don’t wanna miss a thing. ❤️

Because I’ve forgotten how to take a selfie and Because I’ve forgotten how to take a selfie and not feel totally awkward 🙈🤳🏻 No, but seriously! Can you share some new makeup products for me to try? I feel like I’m totally out of the loop with what the cool kids wear these days. Being an old school beauty blogger, I used to know every beauty launch, what was worth the money and what wasn’t, but now I so lost and would love to try some new things! 💄

If you’re blurry, you’re dancing! 💃🏻❤️

We don’t have many photos of the five of us; I could give you some very convincing reasons why, but I’m not sure I believe it myself.

The biggest reason at the moment is my low self esteem for the way I look.

I’m grateful for my body and for what it has gone through in order to give me 3 healthy and beautiful children, but boy I really don’t feel like me right now.

Nothing fits, I’ve grown more chins and rolls than I can count and when I look in the mirror, I don’t recognise the person staring back at me.

I’m 36 years old. I’ve been around the block once or twice with my body image and I’ve grown to dissociate my worth from it. That’s a huge step!

But right now, I don’t feel confident in my own skin. I love myself and I know I’m so much more than my image… but I find myself hiding behind the kids and feeling deflated when I catch a sight of myself in the mirror.

Body image and self esteem are always going to be a work in progress for me, so I thought I’d share these thoughts as they popped into my head whilst I’m still figuring out how to reconcile what I see vs who I am.

Let me know if this resonates with you. ❤️
Hands full? You should see my heart… 🥰 A cla Hands full? You should see my heart… 🥰

A classic selection for Mother’s Day: can’t get them all looking and smiling, can we?! 🤣 But I actually love these photos because of how perfectly imperfect they are; a nod to my journey as a mum. Here’s to all of us! 🥂💗

Sending a special hug to anyone who’s finding today hard. I see you. 💛
